Hard Coded vs WordPress

When is it best to have a static hard coded  vs WordPress that is easy to edit and easy to update?

It wasn’t too long ago, maybe 8 years or so that WordPress was in it’s first stages of development. It was a time when search engines were enforcing web page optimization giving websites higher ranking scores for a fully optimized website. Web designers and programers could write extremely light but we must remember that the internet started with dial-up that has a tiny bit of bandwidth and mobile 3G and 5G technology did not exist.

Much has changed as now fibre optic and cable connection offer ultra high bandwidth speeds. WordPress has involved into the mainstream platform that it is today. Amazing page builders like Divi and Elementor  unlocked creativity as now web designers could focus on the look and feel of a page and no longer needed to manually write html, php and and javascript.

More to think about hard coded vs wordpress

“   A WordPress website using commercially sold plugins is like having a team of web developers working on one website keeping it safe from security vulnerabilities., keeping it working flawlessly by releasing regular updates.”
– André Lacasse

Worpress wielded by a professional programmer and data base specialist

When WordPress is wielded by a programmer who can write HTML, PHP, Javascript, CSS and is an expert at MySQL, MSSQL and Oracle databases the sky is the limit. In the beginning WordPress developers needed to write template PHP pages to achieve amazing design effects and layouts. WordPress has evolved to the point of using web page builders and no longer has the need for hard coded templates making today’s websites completely dynamic.
